Exchequer Leghorn
Available May 23
The Exchequer Leghorn is a rare and striking variety of the Leghorn breed, known for its black-and-white mottled plumage, which provides excellent camouflage from predators. These birds are prolific layers, producing 250–300 large white eggs per year. They are active, hardy, and excellent foragers, making them ideal for free-range environments. While they can be independent and flighty, their high egg production and low feed consumption make them a favorite among small farms and backyard keepers.
